Our approach
Our approach is inspired by Maria Montessori’s pedagogy. In our teaching, we take advantage of children’s natural urge to develop, learn and cooperate. We have great confidence in the ability of every child and pupil. Everyone can, wants and dares!
We put children and pupils at the center and build on the knowledge, skills and experiences they have already acquired. It is important to us that each child and pupil develops as far as possible on their own terms.
Preschool and school in the same building
With us, pre-school children develop into school pupils in a cohesive environment. We have strong links between the preschool, the preschool class, the after-school program and the primary school. The step from the preschool to the preschool class is a safe step as it takes place within the house. The teachers in the school are familiar to the children in the preschool. The preschool teacher from the preschool period remains in the building.
About teaching
We teach in age-integrated classes. Pupils are given both stimulation to develop further and repetition when necessary. In age-integrated classes, it is natural for pupils to help each other across age boundaries.
In our teaching, we use both analog and digital learning tools as well as tangible materials.
School and after-school care form an integrated whole, with after-school care complementing school education. Schools and after-school clubs work on common themes. After-school care gives pupils the opportunity to combine learning with creativity, outdoor activities and play.
Health and learning
Health and learning go hand in hand. We actively work on the learning and well-being of children and pupils. We make sure that every meeting is “always the best possible meeting”. The food is organic and locally produced. The preschool and school are sugar-free, except for a few festive occasions a year.
We work together with each other and with parents/guardians to create the best conditions for pupils’ development and learning. This year we have started a collaboration with the Swedish Sports Confederation for more movement in school, at leisure time, breaks and outdoor activities.
