Preschool

6:30 is the opening time for morning free time/preschool. Morning free time is a time for early school leavers and pre-school children to spend together. Children who arrive early, before 7:00 are offered a sandwich and milk for breakfast. At 07:30-08:00, children and pupils go out into the courtyard. School pupils enter at 08:30 and the kindergarten stays in the courtyard. At 09:15, the preschool goes inside and has an assembly and various activities. 11.00 the children have lunch. After lunch, the younger children sleep and the older ones have a quiet time with some rest. The younger children are woken up by 13:15-13:30. In the afternoon, activities vary, children can be outside or inside. Snack is eaten at 14:00. The older children sometimes go off to a playground. 16.30 Evening free time/preschool, when preschoolers and students are together. The kindergarten is open between 06:30 and 17:30, Monday to Friday. The nursery is closed for four weeks during the summer. If there is a need for preschool during these weeks, coordination with the preschools within the Children’s Montessori Academy takes place. The preschool is open from the beginning of August. The preschool is closed on all public holidays, some bank holidays and when staff have joint working days or afternoon meetings.
