Pre-school in schools
We are happy to have a preschool in our school. The fact that we can offer preschool and school with inspiration from Montessori education in a joint activity is especially fun for us who have been running Montessori preschools successfully for 28 years. You can put your child in the queue for the preschool, if you live in Solna, you do it here, otherwise you contact the principal, see contact details below. Children who attend our preschool have priority to the school.
Preschool + School = True
Preschool, preschool, primary school and after-school care in the same building is good for children. During their preschool time, children get to know the staff and the premises of the after-school program and school. The children who attend our preschool have priority to the school before those in the queue. We have age-integrated classes, the preschool and first grade students go together. This means that the pupils have the same teacher during the preschool class and year one. With us, children get continuity from preschool to school, the step to the next activity is small. Families with children in preschool and school have their children in the same place.
About the school
Solna Enskilda Preschool and School is a small and personal unit with a lot of joy and inspiration. We put the students at the center and build on the knowledge and experiences they have learned during their preschool period. Our approach is inspired by Maria Montessori’s pedagogy. In our teaching, we take advantage of children’s natural urge to develop, learn and cooperate. We teach in age-integrated classes. Pupils are given both stimulation to develop further and repetition when necessary. We work actively to create a safe school where all students have peace of mind. Learning and development are in focus, which leads to both good knowledge and personal development of the students. We ensure that every encounter is an ‘always the best possible encounter’. We stay focused on our important mission. We work together with each other and with parents/guardians to create the best conditions for pupils’ development and learning. The school and the after-school program form a whole where the after-school program complements the teaching in school. Schools and after-school clubs work on common themes. After-school clubs give pupils the opportunity to combine learning with outdoor activities and play. Health and learning go hand in hand. We work actively with pupils’ learning and well-being. Food is organic and locally produced. The school is sugar-free, except for a few festive occasions each year. Our newly renovated old school building is located at Industrivägen 16 in Hagalund, Solna. The school is Solna’s oldest school building and was Solna’s first Central School.
