We at Sandborgen are very proud to be entrusted with supplying food to BMA’s preschools and schools.

A little bit about Sandborgen

Sandborgen was founded almost 20 years ago. Our main customers are preschools and schools around Stockholm. We have two kitchens; one in Rotebro and one in Enskede. We are 30 proud employees who work with fair working conditions.

The food we serve is, as far as possible, cooked from scratch and inspired by both new modern cuisine and Swedish home cooking. It is especially adapted to the tastes of children and schoolchildren to ensure that as many as possible get the energy they need. During a week with Sandborgens menu, our guests get a variety of different proteins and carbohydrates.

People can choose to eat a vegetarian diet every day. In addition, you can also choose to eat vegetarian soup and bread. Our skilled and well-trained chefs have extensive experience in cooking for young people.

In our experience, many children are less fond of stews where the food is mixed with vegetables. Therefore, our menus are adapted to this and contain more of the cuts such as meatballs, chicken fillet, skewers, fish fillets and more, but of course we also have casseroles such as meat sauces, Thai casseroles, kebab casseroles and more that the children love according to the food council.

The vegetable buffet that comes chilled with the food consists of at least two different vegetables adapted to the children’s wishes with, for example, peas, pizza salad, corn, cucumber, carrot, tomato, etc.

Of course, if certain dishes do not work for some reason in a particular unit, it can be adapted to what will be best for that particular business.

We calculate the nutritional content with the help of a dietician and a nutritional calculation program for both normal and special diets. All to ensure that the meal is as energy-rich as possible.
